The Campaign for Wool celebrates all things yarn with Wool Week every year and for 2014 they are adding cycling to the mix, hosting the Wool Ride on Sunday 5th October from 9am - 2pm.
The ride starts and finishes at Potters Fields, taking in London's key sights such as; London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Knightsbridge, Park Lane and Regent Street. Before, after, and during the event, Potters Fields will become a hub of wool, bicycle, and textiles activities. There will be demonstrations, pimp your bike stations, sheep shearing, food and drink, live music, speeches, prize giving, and plenty of knitting.
LMNH will be there with the Velopresso - a bicycle powered coffee machine - serving up Square mile coffee, teas, cakes oh and craft BEER. Anneta from Knitting SOS is hosting a free drop in knitting session from 11am - 3pm. She'll be there ready to answer all your knitty questions. Whether you are a Knitting SOS regular or new to the craft, this is the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere on the day with a cuppa and some chat.
Sign up for the free Wool Ride.
